Dr Parnassus and DJ Spooky

Went to see The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. I recommend it for the cool, tripped out dream sequences and the brilliant performance by Tom Waits as the devil. Don't go if you're after a gripping storyline or if you mind that Heath Ledger suddenly changes into Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law (actually the transitions were pretty well done).




Also checked out DJ Spooky at the Espy. He sounded pretty interesting on Myspace but thumbs down from me. No flow, too staged... all the music was perfectly syncronised with a video in the background... The music had too many things going on - sounded like noise most of the time. And it was mega-loud... I reckon my ear drum was close to exploding and I thought I had mosquitoes in my brain as I left the Espy.
